Skydive the Wasatch IAD Program

Time to kick off your tandem training wheels? Our IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) Program is designed to put you on the fast-track to being able to skydive solo.

USPA issues four skydiving licenses, A through D, indicating progressive levels of skill and accomplishment. A skydiver is considered a student until issued a license.

In this Instructor Assisted Deployment course (IAD), your USPA Licensed instructor will guide you through ground training and training/solo jumps to help you achieve your A-License.

Your progression will move from the instructor being responsible for deployment, to solo deployment, to freefall and subsequent solo deployment. One of the primary allures of the IAD system is that it is a less expensive entry method into solo skydiving than a similar AFF program would be.

I had the absolute best experience at Sky Dive The Wasatch. For starters Nephi, Utah at 10,500 is a view you must see! The staff is totally professional and helpful with any questions you might have. You can tell that they love their job and that for me maid the expierence all the more fun.

My son asked me to go skydiving with him because it's on his bucket list. I agreed. I was so nervous, but from the moment I entered Skydive the Wasatch, they worked to put me at ease and make sure I had a great time! Leon talked me through every step, encouraged me to relax & have fun (and called me a badass, which made me feel tough😁). We had the BEST time and always felt safe. What a great experience! It was a bit of a drive to Nephi but was totally worth it. Leon was a very assuring instructor. I jumped for the first time at 50 and it won’t be my last! It was a simple process not complicated and I really appreciated that because when you are already nervous about the jump simple is best. Don’t hesitate they are great!

Leon and the crew took great care of us! They were super fun, professional, and gave us an amazing introduction to skydiving. Also, the views were fantastic with snow still on the Wasatch Mountains and a gorgeous landscape around us.
