Skydive the Wasatch IAD Program

Time to kick off your tandem training wheels? Our IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) Program is designed to put you on the fast-track to being able to skydive solo.

USPA issues four skydiving licenses, A through D, indicating progressive levels of skill and accomplishment. A skydiver is considered a student until issued a license.

In this Instructor Assisted Deployment course (IAD), your USPA Licensed instructor will guide you through ground training and training/solo jumps to help you achieve your A-License.

Your progression will move from the instructor being responsible for deployment, to solo deployment, to freefall and subsequent solo deployment. One of the primary allures of the IAD system is that it is a less expensive entry method into solo skydiving than a similar AFF program would be.

Had an awesome experience at Skydive Wasatch. I took my dad to jump for the first time for fathers day. He was super nervous at first, but the staff knows how to make us feel like family and made the whole jump process flawless. This was my 1st jump with them, but my 4th total jump. They have a great team that treats you like long time friends/family. The cost is much lower then the experience you receive. They're professional and make you feel safe. I'm 6'4" 230lbs and they where able to take me without any problems. I was a little put off about the extra fee for me being heavy but after my first jump, I'm happy to pay it. The instructions on how you'll exit the plane are a little like squirt from finding Nemo and if they animated their instructions a little, then it would be a lot like Squirt!

I had my first sky diving experience and it was one to remember. There is no way to describe it but it is scary and exciting all at the same time. I will never forget it. 10/10 recommend Sky Dive the Wasatch. Get the photo and video package. You won’t regret it.

The office staff was efficient and pleasant, and the skydivers—Matt and Bradley—likewise, and experienced. I was awed by their landing skills as I watched my daughter and hubby come down from the sky! So fun and exhilarating in a friendly atmosphere. My family was in good hands. I think they’re hooked to the sky, now—I know they’ll definitely go back!
