Skydive the Wasatch IAD Program

Time to kick off your tandem training wheels? Our IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) Program is designed to put you on the fast-track to being able to skydive solo.

USPA issues four skydiving licenses, A through D, indicating progressive levels of skill and accomplishment. A skydiver is considered a student until issued a license.

In this Instructor Assisted Deployment course (IAD), your USPA Licensed instructor will guide you through ground training and training/solo jumps to help you achieve your A-License.

Your progression will move from the instructor being responsible for deployment, to solo deployment, to freefall and subsequent solo deployment. One of the primary allures of the IAD system is that it is a less expensive entry method into solo skydiving than a similar AFF program would be.

Last Friday 7/15/22 I helped my grandson achieve a bucket list item before his departure for a mission on 7/18/22. SO----my 18 year old grandson had his 75 year old grandfather accompany him on his skydive. IT WAS GREAT!!!! We had Adam and Leon do the jumps with us. It was a tremendous experience. So glad I did it.

Skydive the Wasatch was an experience of a lifetime! The staff are awesome, very experienced and knowledgeable. I felt very safe and they made the whole experience a lot of fun! It was such a beautiful jump, the views of the Wasatch mountains are unbeatable. I loved the videos and photos, they turned out great and have been fun to share with my family and friends. I definitely recommend Skydive the Wasatch and can’t wait to go back for another jump!

WOW! This was the best thing I could have ever done! I jumped 10 hours ago and I’m still smiling about it. Brandon was my tandem jumper and he rocked it. He has such a solid energy and is an awesome dude. He made it fun and comfortable for me. With his instructions, I got to control the parachute!!! So cool! 10/10 would recommend Skydive Utah, Brandon and going to jump for your first time!

This place is incredible from the moment you walk through the door!! The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They put us at ease and made the whole experience a hundred times better than expected. The actual skydive was AMAZING!! The scenery is gorgeous and I could not have asked for a better birthday present!!! The video and pictures came out so good, very professional. I went into this skydive as 'a one and done', but that has since changed! This was the most AMAZING experience of my life! I can not recommend Skydive the Wasatch enough. From start to finish, the day was perfect, the entire team there is fantastic! Their location is great! The views from above are absolutely beautiful. I'm looking forward to my next jump at Skydive the Wasatch!
