Skydive the Wasatch IAD Program

Time to kick off your tandem training wheels? Our IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) Program is designed to put you on the fast-track to being able to skydive solo.

USPA issues four skydiving licenses, A through D, indicating progressive levels of skill and accomplishment. A skydiver is considered a student until issued a license.

In this Instructor Assisted Deployment course (IAD), your USPA Licensed instructor will guide you through ground training and training/solo jumps to help you achieve your A-License.

Your progression will move from the instructor being responsible for deployment, to solo deployment, to freefall and subsequent solo deployment. One of the primary allures of the IAD system is that it is a less expensive entry method into solo skydiving than a similar AFF program would be.

I had such a great experience with Skydive the Wasatch! They do a great job with putting your mind at ease before you even get in the plane. The skydivers who go with you in a tandem jump are extremely experienced and made me feel very comfortable. I brought a friend who doesn't really like heights or the feeling of falling, and even he had such a fun time that he wants to go again! This was an absolutely amazing experience. I think skydiving would be pretty amazing no matter where you go but at Skydive the Wasatch they made the experience so much better. They went the extra mile to make sure my dad, who is in a wheelchair, could jump as well and it was in incredible experience for the both of us. They clearly care about you having a great experience here!!

would absolutely recommend this place!! my boyfriend and i went there, and we jumped with leon and eric. they were awesome, and we felt very educated and safe all while having a great time. it was cool to experience something so new:) would totally go again and plan to someday!

My husband and I went for my birthday and had an amazing time! Everyone was so nice and helpful. We dove with Leon and Ethan who were very professional and fun. They got some great pictures and videos and were very excited for us since it was our first time. Felt very safe the whole time.

I finally got to meet most of the crew at Skydive The Wasatch this last weekend. My son got his A license there and he jumps every weekend with these guys. We had a group of his friends and family jump for his 20th birthday and it was amazing! They treat him like family and have taught him so much! I’m so thankful that they make sure my boy is safe . He has a love for skydiving now! These guys are the best!
