Get Certified to Skydive Solo
If you’re looking to level-up and skydive solo, you’ve come to the right place! Our Instructor Assisted Deployment (IAD) hybrid program is designed to get you in the air, learning real skills, from day one, and we have one of the best instructor crews around to take you through it.
Step 1: Ground School
Start with a tandem jump or two to get comfortable in the air, then you’ll take a First Jump Course (FJC) before you can get to jumping solo!
Step 2: Assisted Jumps
Train under instructor supervision as you learn to exit solo, deploy your canopy, and master the fundamentals. Your instructors will be there every step of the way to help!
Step 3: USPA License
Progress through the required jumps and skills, then pass a couple of tests to earn your USPA A-License and jump solo just about anywhere.

Our IAD progression program is a practical, hands-on path to becoming a licensed skydiver. With personalized coaching, a tight-knit training environment, and flexible scheduling, you’ll move at a pace that works for you. We’ll provide a full cost breakdown upfront so there are no surprises.
Tandem Skydive (Recommended)
$199 – $299
Not required, but we highly recommend completing at LEAST one tandem skydive with us before beginning the program.
Full A-License Training Program
$5,750 $3,500
The full course! Includes first jump course (4-6 hours the day of your first solo jump), 25-30 instructor-assisted skydives, and all necessary equipment. Also includes coaching, mentoring, and testing while working towards your A-License and for any future licenses and ratings acquired at Skydive the Wasatch.
First Jump Course & First Solo Skydive
$600
Just to get you started. 4-6 hours of ground school, your first solo skydive, and all required equipment. Ground school is required before beginning any A-License training program.
Instructor-Assisted Skydives
$175
For transfer students, additional jumps, etc. Solo skydive with a trained instructor. Includes customized training based on your current skill level and progress. You’ll need 25-30 of these to get your A-License.

How long does the IAD program take?
That depends on your schedule, the weather, and how often you jump, but most students can expect to earn their A-License over the course of several weeks to a few months.
