Pick a partner, register your team, play each game up to 5 times, submit your score, and try to make it to the Battle for the Booty Championship!
Step 1: Register Your Team
Grab a teammate, pick a cool team name, and register your team so you can start!
Our recommendation? Play into the theme and match your outfit to your partners (it’s way more fun that way). You MAY swap out one player for another player one time as long as the new player was not a part of another team.
Step 2: Play a Game!
Once you’re registered, you can start playing! Games are open all day on Friday and on Saturday until the championship.
You can play each game against another team up to 5 times for points.
For a game to count towards your score, you MUST be playing against another team and both teams must agree to count the current game before you start playing. If you play a game more than 5 times for points, only the first 5 will count.

Pirate Pong (Beer/Water Pong)
This game takes between 20 and 30min to play
Basic Rules:
- 10-cups are set up in a triangle on each side, filled ⅓ of the way full with water
- Players take turns trying to toss a ping pong ball into the opposing team’s cups
- When a ball lands in a cup, that cup is removed
- First team to eliminate all 10 opponent cups wins
Gameplay Guidelines:
- No Rollbacks: You don’t get another shot if the ball rolls back to you
- Double Bounce: If a shot bounces on the table before landing in a cup, remove two cups. Defenders are allowed to swat bounce shots away
- Double Cup: If both players make their shots in the same cup, rem:ove two cups
- Rim Shots: If the ball spins inside the rim and is still dry, it can be flicked or blown out. If the ball gets wet, it counts
- “On Fire” Rule: If a player makes 3 shots in a row, they get the ball back to keep shooting until they miss
- “Island” Call: Each player may call “Island” once per game to shoot at a single isolated cup. If they make it, 2 cups are removed
- Re-Racks: Only one official re-rack allowed per game, where you can request the cups to be rearranged in the position of your choosing
- Gentleman’s repositions (a.k.a. cup kisses) are unlimited if cups shift slightly on their own
Redemptions and Penalties:
- Redemption (Tie-Breaker) Setup: 3 cups in a triangle
- No re-racks during redemption
- If a team accidentally knocks over their own cup, two replacement cups are added as a penalty
-
The Coconut Cup (Mario Kart)
This game takes between 15 and 20min to play
- Teams will play 1 Grand Prix (100cc ONLY) with the set characters and cars
- You may NOT change your characters, cars, or any other settings
- The team with the oldest player may select which Grand Prix/location to play, and the team with the youngest player gets to select their controllers first. If you play the same team twice, this reverses.
- At the end of the Grand Prix, the team with the most combined points wins
- If the teams have the same combined points, the team with the best single player wins
-
Porthole (Cornhole)
This game takes between 15 and 40min to play
- 1 team member stands at each board either directly across from or diagonally across from their partner (play rock-paper-scissors to determine if you throw from the left or the right of the board if need be)
- Teams take turns throwing the bags of their color at the opposite board
- Players must throw from behind the front edge of the board
- Bags that hit the ground first and then land on the board do not count
- 3 points for a bag in the hole, 1 point for a bag on the board
- Cancel-out scoring: only the higher team’s points count each round (Example: Team A scores 5, Team B scores 3 → Team A gets 2 points)
- The first team to get 21 points wins (there is NO BUST rule, so you MAY go over)
-
Washer Toss
Basic scoring rules:
- Rock paper scissors to determine who goes first
- Players take turns throwing washers at the target board to land them in any one of the 3 holes
- Hole 1 is worth 1 point, hole 2 is worth 2 points, and hole 3 is worth 3 points
- Washers not landing in any hole or missing the target board entirely are awarded no score
- The first team to reach 21 points without going over wins the game
- If a team goes over 21 points, their score goes back to 15
- If both teams get to 21 points on the same turn, continue playing until one team is winning by 2 or more points

Set-Up:
- Rock-paper-scissors (best of 3) decides who serves

Step 4: Climb the Leaderboard
Play a game, get 100 points. Win a game, get 500 points.
Yes, you do get participation points here, so make sure to play as many games as you can! Feel free to check the leaderboard to see how your team is doing at any given time!
Step 5: Crown the Champions
The top 4 teams will play in the Battle for the Booty Championship at 8:30pm on Saturday.
To determine the winner, we’ll have an elimination-style mini-tournament with the top 4 teams starting at 8:30pm on Saturday, August 9th. If you’re in one of the top 4 teams, please meet us at the desk inside the hangar at 8:15pm. It should take less than 30min to play, and then the Battle for the Booty champions will be crowned!
