Utah Tandem Skydiving Info & Rates

Celebrate the ultimate feeling of freedom.

Picture it:

You'll stand in the door with the soaring landscape of the Wasatch Front spread out below you, from white-capped Mt. Nebo to the rolling grasslands of the valley far below. Wearing top-of-the-line equipment and connected securely to a United States Parachute Association (USPA) licensed Tandem Instructor, you'll leap out the door into the rushing wind, accelerating past 120mph for a heart-pounding 40 seconds of freefall. Once you pull (or your instructor pulls) the ripcord and the canopy inflates overhead, you'll to enjoy a graceful, 6-minute canopy ride while drinking in breathtaking views of the mountains.

Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) Pricing

Package Cost
Tandem Skydive - It is recommended to make a tandem jump prior to starting the AFF course, this allows familiarity with the plane and skydiving in general. Ideally this will be a “working” tandem where you make freefall turns and deploy your own parachute. 194.00
First Jump Course Ground School - Ground school is typically 6 hours long and covers all the basics of skydiving. The class should be completed as close as possible to the first AFF jump. We typically schedule them on Fridays and Sundays. 60.00
Category "A" AFF Skydive - The instructor holds on to the student but is not attached. The student learns how to fall stably and deploy his/her own canopy. This jump may be made with one or two instructors. (jumps with two instructors carry an additional cost) 170.00
Category “B" AFF Skydive - The instructor holds on to the student but is not attached. The student learns the basics of freefall turns and forward motion. This jump may be made with one or two instructors. 170.00
Category “C" AFF Skydive - The goal of this jump is to allow the student to freefall without the grip of an instructor, often called the “release dive.” The instructors will let go of the student while the student maintains control and deploys their own parachute. 170.00
Category “D” AFF Skydive - The student will make an un-assisted exit from the plane and then preform freefall turns. This category is typically two jumps and is made with one instructor. 170.00
Category “E" AFF Skydive - The student will learn stability recovery by performing flips and barrel rolls. This category is typically two jumps and is made with one instructor. After successfully passing category "E" you will be allowed to self supervise in freefall (jump solo!) 170.00
Coach Jumps - The student can jump with a coach and continue to work on the checklist of items required for a license. Typically 10 coach jumps are needed following AFF to complete the checklist. 100.00
Solo Skydives - The student has proven they can open a parachute and navigate it to the ground competently. The solo jump price includes gear rental and a pack job, price can be reduced if you own equipment or pack your own parachute. 58.00
USPA Membership - The USPA is our governing body and the student will be asked to join the USPA after completing category B. This should be done as soon as possible. Membership includes membership card, magazine subscription, and third party liability insurance. 65.00
Approximate cost to pass AFF - (Tandem + Ground School + 7 AFF Jumps + USPA Membership) 1494.00
Approximate cost to earn A license - (Tandem + Ground School + 7 AFF Jumps + USPA Membership + 10 Coach Jumps + 7 Solo Jumps) 2900.00
AFF Package - Pay in advance for your AFF Jumps and save (includes first jump class, 3 jumps with two instructors, 4 jumps with single instructor) 1200.00
License Package - Pay in advance for your A License jumps and save (includes first jump class, 3 jumps with two instructors, 4 jumps with single instructor, 10 coach jumps, 8 solo jumps) 2500.00
